Are you NAPA Safety Solutions’ new Senior / Lead Service Designer?

NAPA Safety Solutions develops digital services for cruise line companies and is now looking for a Lead Service Designer for a permanent, full-time position at NAPA Finland office in Helsinki or NAPA USA office in Florida

NAPA has the world’s biggest cruise ships and companies as clients and with our solutions they can improve the safety and eco-efficiency of the ship operations. We are looking for a person with broad experience in designing digital services and projects with a strategic perspective. 

People around you

Your team consists of software development teams in Finland and Romania and customer teams in USA, Finland and elsewhere in Europe. The team has around 50 members globally with different backgrounds in the maritime sector and software development. Your clients come mostly from USA (Florida), Germany, England and Italy. 

NAPA has long and robust existing client relationships and we wish that you would have a user-centric design approach with designated customers. 

To succeed in this role, it would be good if you: 

  • have the capability to do customized solutions which can be repeated with small modifications
  • have conceptual and strategic design ideas – thinking realistic but big
  • have the capability and willingness to challenge conventional ways of thinking and bringing ideas and concrete solutions to each project
  • have exceptional talent in finding, analyzing and communicating business and user research information
  • understand and maybe have experience on recurring revenue generation and long term business planning and  understand the concepts like “walk the talk”, “pay as you grow”, “technically ok is not enough, it has to feel and look good”
  • have the capability to thrive people around you
  • are a strategist and have experience in user research, market analysis, service design and business consulting
  • are now working as Lead/Senior Service Designer or Service Concept creator

Experience and talent as a speaker and in facilitating workshops for smaller and bigger groups are also appreciated.
