NAPA Steel Initial Training, January 2020
All that you need to get started with structural design using NAPA Steel!
NAPA’s new, intuitive tools, such as NAPA Designer for geometry modelling, NAPA Drafting for intelligent classification drawings, automatic FEM Mesh Generation and Class Society Interfaces to the most common rule check software are now available for you.
Previous NAPA experience is not required, but naturally, it is useful and makes it easier and faster to learn the use of NAPA Steel.
The course can be followed by a test use period of NAPA Steel.
The course starts with general presentations about the NAPA system and geometry definitions that are needed as a basis for structural modeling. NAPA Designer is used for creating different types of structures.
The second part of the course deals with output of data based on the 3D structural model. NAPA Drafting is used for intelligent classification drawings. The basic concept of producing lists and reports, such as weight report, are explained. Creating Finite Element Models by using the automatic FEM Mesh Generation, Class Society Interfaces to the most common rule check software and different interfaces to other CAD systems are also presented briefly.
- Day 1: Geometry and NAPA Designer
- Day 2: Steel modeling, structural details and numeric output for weight calculation etc.
- Day 3: FEM, Drawing production using NAPA Drafting and Rules interfaces
