NAPA, the Naval Architectural PAckage, is a CAE system developed specifically for initial and basic ship design. Designed to cover the most demanding needs of naval architects and marine industry professionals, it is among the most comprehensive systems available yet completely integrated, encompassing all the applications needed from the first project sketches through hull design and fairing, basic structural design, performance predictions and statutory calculations to the final delivery documents.

NAPA can handle the design of any kind of floating structure. It offers powerful and flexible modelling tools for quick model creation and modifications. The NAPA 3D product model created by the system is used as primary source of 3D geometric and technical information for all analysis. NAPA Manager applications have been developed to ease the practical design work by organizing complex design processes into manageable hierarchies. By utilizing these special workflow managers, the design process advances in a logical order maintained by the system. By following the workflow suggested by the Manager, the designer can be sure that all essential aspects of the task at hand are covered. The user is freed to concentrate on the design work and need not worry  about overlooking something.
